Why VoxDance?
We are dance lovers. When looking for an excerpt of dance video online we often felt frustrated by the erratic quality of the videos and the vastness of the choice. We would have loved to find a website selecting the best videos from the top dancers and dance companies worldwide. At the same time, we thought this would be a great opportunity to promote the work of dancers and dance companies to a large community. So after 6 months of nurturing here comes VoxDance.com. We would like everybody to enjoy dance to its fullest!
Where do you get the videos from?
All videos posted on VoxDance are aggregated from other video websites. Those videos have been posted on other video websites by their members.
We are currently working with Studios to obtain the copyright in order to legally display and promote their videos. If you are a studio, a dance company or a dancer and haven’t been contacted by us yet, please email us at “partnership (at) voxdance.com”.
I’m a Studio, a Dance Company or a Dancer, what do I get from publishing my videos on VoxDance?
You get noticed worldwide and your video is promoted among a targeted and well focused community. Plus if your video is available on DVD for sale on Amazon, we’ll link it to our online DVD store (powered by Amazon).
Can I suggest a video?
You can help our small dedicated team to find the best dance videos via the submission form. Our editors greatly appreciate your suggestions. This feature is available only to registered members.
Why editors are reviewing the submitted videos before posting?
There are a couple of reasons: for protection of copyright owners and for quality issues. That gives you the guarantee you will always find the best content available.
What are your guidelines when selecting a video?
- Professional dancers / companies / choreographers
- High quality video footage
- 2 to 5 minutes abstract. Only one abstract per performance (the aim is only to PROMOTE the artists' work not replace the DVD or the performance!)
Please mention the source of the video if you think you may know it (especially if it comes from a DVD, we'll advertise it and give viewers the opportunity to buy the video!).
